Description
The RoHS Manager product provides functionality for two key areas of legislation facing electrical equipment manufacturers.
The product is divided into two core sets of functionality.
The first of these is to provide an online document repository to allow manufacturers to record RoHS compliance against their products and associated bill-of-materials.
This document manager is flexible enough for manufacturers to delegate out responsibility for components within their bill-of-manterials to the original manufacturer of these parts.
All parts within the document database are only listed once but can have many instances within other manufacturers bill-of-materials. This allows for a central, single point of contact for individual components and the management of their RoHS status.
Products can also be assigned workflows to allow manufacturers to ensure that any non-compliant products or materials are actioned correctly and in the right sequence.
The second part of the product deals with the materials declaration forms for components being used within a bill-of-materials for a particular manufacturer.
Depending on local country regulations and targets for hazardous substances the application will automatically test products against certain pre-defined rules in order to generate the required documentation.
